What are Foundational Family Services

As part of the Ontario Autism Program (OAP), Foundational Family Services is designed to ensure families registered to the OAP have constant access to foundational supports including:

  • Family and peer mentoring

  • Caregiver workshops and follow-up coaching sessions

  • Brief targeted consultations

  • Transition supports

  • Family resource and clinic days

These services are available to any family registered with the OAP. Just provide your OAP Client Information Reference Number when registering for Foundational Family Services with our Service Navigator.

You can register with the OAP HERE.

Who is eligible for Foundational Family Services?

Foundational Family Services are available to families who care for persons under the age of 18, registered with the Ontario Autism Program.

Where do I find my OAP Reference Number?

Check your OAP Childhood Budget Information Letter.

If you don’t have your letter you can call the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services at 1-888-444-4530 or via email at oap@ontario.ca and they can provide you with your OAP Reference Number.
