WE’RE HIRING 

Behaviour Technician

VACANT FULL-TIME, 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Lake Ridge Community Support Services is looking for experienced and enthusiastic individuals to deliver services in Entry-to-School (ETS), as part of the Ontario Autism Program (OAP), preparing children with Autism Spectrum Disorder to enter school and target skill-building in a group-based program.  If you want to make a difference in the lives of these children, this job is for you.

What’s your role?

  • Implement ABA based behaviour strategies, naturalistic teaching, group-based teaching, back prompting, and generalization and maintenance procedures 

  • Deliver group teaching to target the six domains of school readiness (i.e., communication, play, social interaction, functional routines, behaviour self-management, and pre-academics, learning and attention).

  • Implement treatment recommendations from multiple disciplines

What skills are we looking for?

  • University degree or College Diploma in a relevant field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience working in a childcare setting and/or a group learning environment

  • Experience delivering ABA services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or intellectual disabilities

  • Knowledge of ABA principles and an understanding of child development

  • Enthusiastic and excited to work and communicate in a team environment

  • Able to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment

Salary Range: Approx. $47,000 - 51,000 (as of 2024)
