Activities of daily living (ADL) are important for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to learn in order to achieve independence and learn skills they will need for life.
In this 2-hour workshop for parents and caregivers, you will learn how to teach your child key activities of daily living (ADL). You will learn what you can do to help your child become more independent, reduce their stress and yours from behavioural experts without having to spend hours testing out strategies that don't work.
Topics that will be covered include:
How to pick what skill/activities to teach
How to break down tasks into teachable steps
How to teach the skills and monitor progress
How to apply these strategies to other skills in the future
Attendees will participate in interactive discussions and will receive resources to better understand how they can support children.
The workshop is eligible to parents, caregivers, and professionals!
