Caregiver, Family & Peer Mentoring Group: Caregiver Burnout

Maintaining a caregiver role while caring for a child or teen with ASD/ Autistic child/teen can bring about some big highs and also big lows at various times.  The caregiver role is the most important and often the most overlooked role as we move through life supporting the ones we love.  In this workshop you will:

  • Connect with others that are caring for a child or teen with ASD/Autistic child/teen to find support within the caregiver community

  • Learn more about caregiver burnout, causes and symptoms

  • Learn more about the importance of self-care

  • Brainstorm strategies that will allow you to take more time for yourself

Where: Caregiver Peer Mentoring Workshop will be delivered via Google Meet. 

Participation Requirements:

  • Must be registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and have a valid OAP registration number.

  • Mobile device, tablet, or computer

  • An internet connection

  • Speakers and a microphone

  • Webcam
