Lake Ridge Community Support Services to Re-Open Jan. 11th with strict protocol

7-JAN-2021 WHITBY

Today our provincial government announced a further extension of the elementary school closure through to January 22nd, 2021.  The province also continues to remain in lockdown during this time period.

As health and safety continues to be a priority for our Agency, so does client service.   Effective Monday January 11th, 2021 we will be resuming in-person services in a limited capacity.  All protocols currently in place will remain in place (e.g., screening, PPE, cleaning).  In-person service determination will be determined through coordination with you and your consultant on an individual basis based on need and appropriateness.   At this time virtual services are preferred for everyone’s safety.  If virtual service is determined to be clinically effective they will remain in place for the next two weeks.

Employers, employees, clients and caregivers all have important roles to play in taking steps to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Such measures include ongoing requirements to practice physical distancing, wearing face masks and increased screening for signs, symptoms and risk factors for COVID-19.  Please follow the guidelines outlined on the provincial website (Ontario Framework).

As the situation continues to evolve with COVID-19 we, at Lake Ridge, appreciate your patience and understanding as we do our best to safely navigate the situation each day. We are continuing to do our best to be safe, flexible and nimble with our clients, caregivers, staff and guests in responding to the continuously changing environment to keep everyone safe.
