OAP UPDATE - What you need to know about Phase 1 of Foundational Family Services
Today the Minister of Children, Community and Social Services, Todd Smith, MPP announced Phase 1 of the expanded OAP Foundational Family Services. Lake Ridge Community Support Services is excited to be an approved provider in Phase 1. The first phase of Foundational Family Services builds on the virtual service delivery models introduced during the COVID-19 outbreak.

WHAT ARE FOUNDATIONAL FAMILY SERVICES?
Services will be available through select providers including Lake Ridge Community Support Services will include the following types of options:
Family and peer mentoring – share experiences in a supportive, informative and social atmosphere
Caregiver workshops and follow-up coaching sessions – information, education and resources on a variety of topics
Brief targeted consultations – direct support to help address a specific need and support your child’s skill development
Transition supports – help preparing for your child’s personal and educational transitions as well as transitions to adulthood
Family resource and clinic days – brainstorm, consult and problem-solve with professionals
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Everyone registered in the Ontario Autism Program is eligible to receive Foundational Family Services.
How is Lake Ridge Community Support Services providing Foundational Family Services in Phase 1
Our website is currently being updated with exciting new options available for families and caregivers to access Foundational Family Services that Lake Ridge Community Support Services will be providing. Over the coming weeks we will continue to develop new individualized Foundational Family Service options. Some current and new options include:
