SESSION

KEYNOTE - Relational Skills Training: PEAK and LIFE Training

October 22, 2021 - 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM

The field of Applied Behaviour Analysis has observed an explosion of applied research utilizing advances in Relational Frame Theory with children and adults of the disability community. Along with these advances is a greater recognition of the role of relational learning in complex skill development. We will discuss these advances along with two evidence-based training programs: PEAK and LIFE, for use with children and adults. PEAK focused on language and cognitive training, where we will discuss research related to intelligence and learning. LIFE focuses on daily living and vocational skills that extend this model. Throughout the talk, we will emphasize the importance of research conducted at the subject level and at the population level when evaluating tools adopted by practitioners in our field.

This session is sponsored by the Do Better Collective, a community of like-minded, forward-thinking behaviour analysts and professionals, all dedicated and passionate about improving, progressing and, of course, DOING BETTER in the field of ABA Therapy. Join now at collective.dobettermovement.us
